Dear Parents, February is Black History Month, and our students are going to celebrate it in the most exciting way. Students will research their randomly selected African American, create a poster with all of the information included, and give a 1-2 minute speech about their assigned person. Students will turn in their posters on Friday, February 22, 2019. Our presentations will take place on Monday, February 25th during students’ class time. I will be inviting other grade levels to attend, and I would love if you could join us. In this packet, I have included a suggested timeline for the project, a research recording sheet, resource log, poster information, and rubric. Students should return their recording sheet and resource log with their poster on February 22.
